The story behind the brand
Founded in 2018 by designer Manuel Dreesmann, Atelier Madre began as a small, independent studio dedicated to redefining leather accessories through thoughtful design. With a background that bridges design and marketing, Manuel shaped the entire value chain — from material sourcing to the final customer experience. In 2021, he opened the first Atelier Madre store in the heart of Barcelona’s El Born district, where his creations continue to attract clients from around the world.
What makes Atelier Madre special
Every product is made from the highest-quality vegetable-tanned, full-grain leather — selected for its durability, natural beauty, and ethical sourcing. Much of the leather comes from nearby Igualada, and wherever possible, solid brass hardware is used. Sustainability is embedded in every step: local production, minimal packaging, materials with low environmental impact, and designs that age with grace. Nothing is rushed, nothing outsourced. This is craftsmanship without compromise.
